What if the weather is terrible?

Iceland weather is part of the deal — and honestly, part of why the photos look the way they do. I've shot through storms, rain, snow, and wind and the images are often more atmospheric than clear days. I have contingency plans for locations and will always problem-solve on the day. We don't reschedule for rain.

Can I legally get married in Iceland?

Yes — and it's simpler than most countries. I can recommend an officiant (I've worked with several and trust them all). You'll need to register in advance through the Registers Iceland office. I'll walk you through what's needed when we start planning.

When do I receive my photos?

Accepted Answer

You'll get a sneak peek of 10–15 images within 48 hours — so you have something to share while you're still in Iceland. The full gallery is delivered within 3 weeks via a private online gallery with unlimited downloads.

Do you photograph families, groups, or events?

My focus is couples — elopements, engagements, anniversaries, proposals, and vow renewals. I occasionally photograph small families or honeymoon portraits.

What happens if you get sick or can't make it?

I have a trusted network of Iceland photographers I'd recommend in an emergency — and I'd work with you directly to arrange a replacement at no extra cost to you. In all the time I've been doing this, it hasn't happened yet, but I believe in being honest about how I'd handle it.

Can I request specific locations?

Absolutely. I know most of Iceland well and can advise on what's realistic for your date, how to time each spot, and what to expect. If you have a dream location that requires permits or special access, I'll help figure that out too.

What is the booking process?

Send an enquiry, we talk by email or on a quick call, you receive a contract, and you lock in the date with a 30% retainer. The final balance link is sent a week or so before the date. That's it.
