Jenny & George’s Engagement Session at Dynjandi Waterfall

Tucked into the cliffs of the Westfjords, Dynjandi is one of Iceland’s most dramatic and awe-inspiring waterfalls — and it made the perfect location for Jenny & George’s summer engagement session.

They visited in mid-July, when the mountain roads to the Westfjords are clear and the days are long. Dynjandi was roaring, misty, and completely quiet — no tourist crowds, no rush. Just the sound of the water and the soft breeze off the fjord.

We explored the area around the base of the waterfall and took time to really soak it all in. If you’re looking for a place that feels wild and personal, this is one of the most incredible spots I’ve photographed couples in.

A short drive away, we also stopped by a peaceful beach near Þingeyri — another hidden gem that shows just how special this area of Iceland can be.
